Healthy All Together was formed in October 2019 to address health and wellbeing in the Roaring Fork Valley for all residents. Soon after, the work of responding to the COVID pandemic began. HAT, founded on values of equity and caring for our neighbors we responded by opening up healthcare access to anyone who needed care. We continue the mission by collaborating with members of the community and organizations connecting neighbors to neighbors.
Jarid Rollins is a licensed clinical social worker who has for years engaged with families and individuals as a therapist. In June, 2019 Jarid began to engage the Roaring Fork Valley through the Community Opioid Treatment Strategy, a federally funded effort to create a strategic plan regarding prevention, treatment and recovery from substance use disorders. Lessons learned during this effort lead to the idea that in order for the community to truly be healthy everyone needs to be healthy.
The Community Opioid Treatment Strategy began in June 2019 convening law enforcement, public health, state leaders, community organizations and those in recovery. These groups developed a community plan around prevention, treatment and recovery from opioid use disorder and substance use disorder. A number of priorities were established from the group:
- Reduce Stigma.
- Increasing Treatment Access for adolescents, pregnant women, the incarcerated and the Latinx community in the Roaring Fork Valley.
- Develop a Hub and Spoke Model in the Roaring Fork Valley.
